People & Communites Scope of Activities

In 2015 the Technical Committee will focus on clarifying different approaches to the role of People and Communities in achieving water efficiency, and in developing case studies of best practice.  The outputs will be:

• up to 5 case studies of community engagement with water efficiency to be published on the WATEF website;
• a policy briefing note outlining the different theoretical approaches to addressing the social aspects of water efficiency;
• up to 5 key recommendations to be considered as adjustments to some points in current planning frameworks and housing legislation in order to offer people and communities more opportunities to get actively involved in the Local Authority Plans in relation to water efficiency.
